Hoops For Homeless

Hoops for Homeless

Date: TBD

Time: TBD

Hoops for Homeless is an annual basketball tournament Downtown where teams compete while raising money to provide scholarships to provide youth that experience homelessness. The tournament helps raise awareness about the realities of homelessness that many children and families face daily and to help raise the financial means necessary to end homelessness in our community. In partnership with the Consolidated School District of New Britain, the City’s Community Services Department, and the Friendship Center, the Downtown is transformed into several basketball courts for teams made up of players in grades 4-12. Teams can be co-ed and have the chance to knock out their competition in a double elimination.
